MINUTES of
BOARD MEETING of JANUARY 11, 2012
Time 18:49 – Convened Board Meeting
Steve Ruhl , BPAA President, as presiding Officer, convened the BPAA Board Meeting at 18:49 on January 11, 2012.
Other Board Members present were:
Malcolm Saunders, Chief Astronomer
Nels Johansen, Facilities Officer
Russell M. Heglund, Secretary
Vicki Saunders, Communications Officer
Absent Board Members:
Charles Higgins, Vice President
Frank Schroer, Treasurer
Dave Fong, Education Officer
BPAA Bylaws require five Board Members to be present to constitute a quorum, therefore a quorum was present.
Time 18:50 – Approval of Minutes of December 14, 2011 Board Meeting
Minutes of December 14, 2011 were read by R. Heglund, Secretary.
M. Saunders moved/S. Ruhl seconded to approve Minutes as corrected. Passed.
V. Saunders: I will write a letter to Dave Berfield thanking him for the work on the Outside Plaque (secretary note: Outside Plaque has been completed and is ready to mount)
S. Ruhl: I will sign the letter.
N. Johansen: I talked to a park employee about our roof leak. He said he will come and look into it, since it is “his building”.
Time 19:04 – Adjournment
S. Ruhl moved/V. Saunders seconded, that the Board Meeting be Adjourned. Passed.
